The Mets beat the Rockies for the third straight night, this time by a 3-0 score. Jacob deGrom struck out ten in seven scoreless innings of work, and he now has a 2.03 ERA on the season. Juan Uribe plated the first run of the game with a two-out double in the fourth inning, and Michael Cuddyer followed up with a single to bring Uribe home. Yoenis Cespedes tacked on an insurance run with a solo home run to right-center field in the eighth—his first home run as a Met.
Tyler Clippard threw a perfect eighth, and Jeurys Familia allowed just one baserunner in an otherwise dominant ninth inning for the save.
