Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (71-59)_______________________________________

NEW ORLEANS 5, LAS VEGAS 0 (Box)

A non-Pacific time zone game for Las Vegas is a treat for an East Coast blogger. Unfortunately, Vegas couldn't generate any runs and dropped this one 5-0. They still cling to a slim lead in the Pacific Southern division of the Pacific Coast League, either a half game or a full game depending on the outcome of the El Paso game.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (68-57)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 10, ERIE 1 (Box)

Finally! I can't remember the last time the B-Mets played on a Monday and I had a chance to recap them. I have so many thoughts on Confor...what's that? Promoted? Great! Well, I really think Brandon Nim...huh? Sitting the bench in Vegas? Oh, Wally. At least we have Cecchin...well, farts. So, yeah, the Bingo roster has taken a hit of late.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (64-63 /29-28)_____________________________________

CHARLOTTE 8, ST LUCIE 5 (Box)

St Lucie is nine games out in the second half standings after finishing 10 games back in the first half so it looks like their season will not include postseason play. That's not all that surprising considering how young the lineup is and how quickly Conforto hit his way out of there.

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (71-48 / 32-17)__________________________________

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

SS-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (29-32)_______________________________________

HUDSON VALLEY 4, BROOKLYN 2 (Box)

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (33-27)__________________________

KINGSPORT 4, BRISTOL 1 (Box) GAME ONE

  • LF Kevin Kaczmarski: 1-1, 3 BB, SB; Kaczmarski is an on-base machine; he came into the night with a .407 OBP.
  • SS Luis Carpio: 1-4
  • 1B Dash Winningham: 0-3, BB, 2 K
  • DH Patrick Mazeika: 1-4, RBI
  • 2B Milton Ramos: 0-3, BB, E
  • 3B Luis Ortega: 2-4, 2B, E
  • CF Ivan Wilson: 0-3, R, BB, K
  • RF Arnaldo Berrios: 3-4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI
  • Merandy Gonzalez: 6.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K; Is it just me or does it seem like Merandy Gonzalez pitches every night for Kingsport? Are we sure there aren't two Merandies? Merandys? Merandi? Either way, this Merandy has been pretty good this year and is just 19 years-old.

BRISTOL 6, KINGSPORT 4 (Box) GAME TWO

Nothing like a rookie-ball double header to delay an early wrap to the farm report.

Rookie - GCL Mets (26-29)__________________________

GCL CARDINALS 15, GCL METS 5 (Box)
