Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (73-59)_______________________________________

LAS VEGAS 10, NEW ORLEANS 6 (Box)

What happens in Vegas, also often happens, uh, elsewhere in the Pacific Coast League.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (69-59)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 3, ERIE 1 (Box)

If you are in a Double-A playoff race, there are worse strategies out there than a six inning rehab start from Steven Matz. That, and a two-run bomb from Josh Rodriguez is all the B-Mets needed to extend their lead to three games over Trenton for a wild card spot.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (30-28 // 65-63)_____________________________________

    NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (37-19 // 76-50)__________________________________

SAVANNAH 4, ASHEVILLE 3 (Box)

Savanah also beat Asheville 4-3 the last time I did a daily reports. Gnats went 30-6 in the interim. There is a reason Jose Leger won BA's best managerial candidate in this league. Dude gets it.

  • 2B Jonathan Johnson: 0-5
  • SS Luis Guillorme: 4-5, R, 2 2B, SB; Guillorme has heated up as the weather has gotten warmer (though I guess it always hot in Savannah. He is starting to get a bit of national attention now, and you all probably know my feelings on the glove by now, but the slash and bunt style he uses at the plate is a tough road to take as defenses and spray charts get better at higher levels. Tough to bet against 80 makeup guys though.
  • RF Wuilmer Becerra: 0-4, R, BB, SB
  • 3B Eudor Garcia: 2-5, R, 2 RBI; Garcia has quietly put together a pretty nice season for the Sand Gnats, though the K-rate and defensive profile bear further watching.
  • 1B Michael Katz: 1-2, R, 2 BB, K
  • LF John Mora: 0-3, BB
  • DH Tomas Nido: 1-4, 2 RBI, 2 K
  • PR-DH Oswald Caraballo: 0-0
  • Natanael Ramos: 1-4, K
  • CF Patrick Biondi: 0-3, BB, 2 K
  • Casey Delgado: 6.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K
  • Ben Griset: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
  • Luis Mateo: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
  • Alberto Baldonado: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K

SS-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (30-33)_______________________________________

HUDSON VALLEY 4, BROOKLYN 0 (Box)

Wasn't planning on dropping in on a Brooklyn team that is prospect poor and just playing out the string, but then they promoted Desmond Lindsay. You win again, JW.

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (35-27)__________________________

KINGSPORT 1, GREENEVILE 0 (Box)

Behind a strong slot from 2014 overslot prep pick Eric Manoah, Kingsport is starting to pull away in the Appy League West playoff race.

Rookie - GCL Mets (26-31)__________________________

GCL MARLINS 5, GCL METS 4 (Box)

  • CF Luis Crisostomo: 0-4, K
  • 2B Walter Rasquin: 2-4
  • C Ali Sanchez: 3-4, 2 R, 2B, K
  • 1B Victor Moscote: 0-3, R, BB
  • 3B Franklin Correa: 2-3, R, BB, E
  • DH Yeffry De Aza: 1-2, 2 RBI
  • RF Kenneth Bautista: 1-4, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 K
  • LF Anthony Dirocie: 0-4, 4 K
  • SS Miguel Patino: 0-3, 2 K, E
  • P Joel Huertas: 6.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 8 K
  • P Max Wotell: 1.1 IP, 0 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K
  • P Raul Jacobson: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
