David Wright received a standing ovation at Citi Field last night and the captain was humbled.

Matt Harvey pitched very well in his return and according to Statcast, his skipped start may have been helpful. Harvey left the game after six scoreless frames but in the playoffs, Terry Collins says Harvey would get the 7th.

The Nationals fell to the Marlins 4-3 last night. Additionally, they lost Denard Span to the disabled list and he's likely done for the season. Jayson Werth bobblehead day is going to be disappointing in that fans won't be receiving Jayson Werth bobbleheads.

Brian McCann and the Yankees torched his former team the Braves 15-4. Jonny Gomes even pitched!

Jose Fernandez could return to the Marlins by mid-September, even though they're not playing for anything at all this season.

Aaron Nola and the Phillies snapped their Mets induced losing streak, beating the Padres 7-1.

#6org is dead, as the Mariners have fired General Manager Jack Zduriencik. What an up and down tenure in Seattle.

Great news for baseball fans all over, as legendary Dodgers announcer Vin Scully will return to call his 67th consecutive season.

Reds manager Bryan Price got the vote of confidence from owner Bob Castellini, so he's probably a goner once the season ends.

A fan is suing the Red Sox after she was hit by a foul ball at Fenway Park in June 2014. Her suit alleges that protective glass that was supposed to be in her section had been removed during offseason renovations.
