Forty-two-year-old Bartolo Colon is the twenty-first quadragenarian in Mets history. For this week's Mind Boggler, we're asking you to name all twenty-one (including Colon).
Mets players at least 40 years of age.
Colon has struggled this year, going 9-10 with a 4.96 ERA (139 ERA-). His peripherals, however, have been considerably better: The righty's 6.99 K/9, 1.05 BB/9, and 1.28 HR/9 translate to a respectable 3.80 FIP (101 FIP-).
Note that the years listed on the quiz are the years in which the player was at least forty years old and playing for the Mets—they do not necessarily include every year the player was a Met. For example, if a player was a Met from 2005 to 2010, but turned forty during the 2008 season, then only years 2008 to 2010 will be listed.
You'll have five minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
