Final Score: Mets 6, Braves 4—Another night, another rally

The Mets literally cannot stop winning games.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Mets beat the Braves by a score of 6-4 with yet another late rally. Noah Syndergaard looked rejuvenated after being skipped, pitching seven excellent innings with eight strikeouts. Tyler Clippard coughed up the lead in the eighth, however, costing Syndergaard a win. The Mets promptly took the lead right back with a double from Travis d'Arnaud and single from Kelly Johnson before handing the ball to Jeurys Familia to slam the door.

The win (the sixth-straight for the Mets) and the Nationals shut out loss to the Marlins pushed the Mets division lead to 9.5 games, the largest division lead in the National League and the second largest in baseball behind the Royals. The Mets magic number is now 12. Additionally, the win clinched the first .500 or above season for the Mets since 2008. David Wright must be ecstatic.
