READING WINS SERIES 3-0

Reading hammered Binghamton starter Gabriel Ynoa for four runs in the first two innings and cruised to a 4-2 win and a three-game sweep in the best-of-five Eastern Division Championship Series.

Reading shortstop JP Crawford set the tone early with a solo home run off Ynoa in the first. With the score 2-0 in the second Nick Williams would launch a two-run homer that propelled the Fightin' Phils to a 4-0 lead. Binghamton cut the lead in half in the fourth inning behind a two-run home run from Joe Benson, but did no further damage. Four Reading relievers shut down Binghamton the rest of the way and help them advance to the Eastern League Championship Series where they will take on the Bowie Baysox.
