The Mets clinched their first playoff berth in nine years on Saturday with a 10-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Matt Harvey started that game, allowing just two runs while striking out six and walking none in 6.2 innings of work. Of the eight times the Mets reached the postseason, five came in the form of National League East Championship wins, their most recent coming in 2006. Perhaps the most memorable game on this list was the 1999 play-in game—also against the Reds—in which the Mets defeated Cincinnati to win the Wild Card and earn a spot in the Division Series against the Diamondbacks.
