Meet the Mets

Yoenis Cespedes was supposedly weighing offers from the Orioles and Mets but that's likely not the case anymore, with Chris Davis re-signing in Baltimore. The Mets also don't have an actual offer out to him yet but are lurking.

Five Mets agreed to new contracts, avoiding arbitration including Matt Harvey, Ruben Tejada, and a trio of relievers.

The Mets added catcher Nevin Ashley on a minor league deal and invited a number of players to big league spring training, including Gavin Cecchini and Dom Smith.

David Wright believes in Sandy Alderson's plan for 2016, though I guess he has little choice.
