Mets manager Terry Collins will be featured in an upcoming episode of MLB Network Presents, a show that highlights some of baseball's "most captivating stories and personalities." The episode, which will be hosted by Bob Costas, is titled "Terry Collins: A Life in Baseball."
The hour-long special, which will air at 9:00 PM on January 12, will feature Collins's first in-depth interview since the 2015 World Series, touching on a wide array of topics including the decision to leave Matt Harvey in for the ninth inning. The documentary-style special will also cover the long road that Collins took to reach his current position as Mets manager, which includes 15 years in the Dodgers organization, as well as managerial jobs in Japan and China. Collins also discusses what 2016 holds for a promising Mets team.
Collins, who will be entering his sixth season as manager of the Mets, has a 394-416 record with the franchise and a 838-850 record over his 14-year MLB career. He led the Mets to their first postseason appearance in nine years, as well as their first World Series appearance in 15 years.
