Over the weekend, the Mets clinched their third Wild Card berth in franchise history. The Mets and Reds finished behind the Braves and Astros in their respective divisions in 1999. Because New York and Cincinnati had identical 96-66 records at season’s end, they were forced to play a 163rd regular season game to determine who would advance to the NLDS as the NL’s Wild Card winner.

The Mets beat the Reds, 5-0, at Cinergy Field in Cincinnati, behind one of the more memorable pitching performances in team history. The Mets then beat the Diamondbacks in the NLDS to advance to the NLCS, which they lost to the Braves in six games.

You’ll have three minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
