Meet the Mets

General manager Sandy Alderson hopes to sign Yoenis Cespedes to a new contract within a month. He’s also received calls from teams expressing trade interest in outfielders Curtis Granderson, Jay Bruce, and Michael Conforto.

If the Mets strike out on Cespedes, sources said they’ve shown interest in Jose Bautista and Dexter Fowler.

Closer Jeurys Familia pleaded not guilty to domestic violence alleged by his wife, whose lawyer said will drop the charge.
