This week, we are starting a series of Mind Bogglers featuring every walk-off home run in Mets history, by decade. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’d like you to name every Met to hit a walk-off home run from 1962, the team’s first year in existence, to 1969.
Mets players who hit a walk-off home run in the 1960s.
Despite the team’s poor record and the fact that it only existed for eight years in the decade, the Mets hit an impressive 25 walk-off homers in the ’60s. Each player is listed alongside the date on which he hit the walk-off, the opposing team, and the position he was playing at the time of the walk-off. In other words, if the player started the game in left field but was moved over to right, he is listed as a right fielder.
You’ll have five minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
