Steven Matz gave up three runs in two-plus innings, and the Mets lost their Friday afternoon spring training game to the Nationals. They scored five runs, but between the three allowed by Matz and the five that Duane Below gave up later in the game, that wasn't enough offense. Of course, it's a spring training game, so there's no need to really sweat any of it.
