Noah Syndergaard struck out nine, walked none, and gave up two runs over six innings in his Friday afternoon spring training start against the Cardinals. The Mets led for much of the game, but Jeurys Familia had his first bad outing of the spring and allowed St. Louis to take the lead by giving up three runs in the ninth. The Mets scored one in the bottom of the inning to knot the game at five, and that's how it concluded. The other thing of note here was that Wilmer Flores played first base.
