The Mets won at home and lost on the road in spring training games today.

Mets 7, Tigers 3 (Box)

In the home half of their split-squad day, the Mets beat the Tigers. Bartolo Colon gave up one run in the first inning but nothing more in three innings of work, and the rest of the six relievers who pitched after him, only Jerry Blevins and Duane Below allowed a run to score. At the plate, Lucas Duda and Neil Walker each hit a home run, and Asdrubal Cabrera drove in a pair.

Cardinals 9, Mets 4 (Box)

Steven Matz walked a couple of batters and allowed one run in three innings, but he struck out three. It was a bit of a rough go of it for the bullpen, too, particularly Jeff Walters, who gave up five runs in one-third of an inning. There weren't many highlights at the plate, either, but first baseman Marc Krauss went 2-for-3 with a double.
