The Mets lost their spring training game against the Braves today, but Matt Harvey made his Grapefruit League debut. He allowed one run with one strikeout and two walks in three innings of work. The Mets scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning to take the lead, but the Braves scored a run in the bottom of that inning. Both teams scored once in the fifth, and the Mets carried that lead into the ninth inning. Zach Thornton, working his second inning after a scoreless eighth, allowed two runs, the second of which won the game for Atlanta.

As for the Mets' hitters, Wilmer Flores went 3-for-3 on the day, and Juan Lagares went 2-for-2 and stole a couple of bases.
