The Mets weren't shut out this afternoon, but they lost to the Phillies for the second time in as many days. With the loss, they dropped two of three games in the series and now have a 2-3 record on the season.
Matt Harvey gave up three runs in six innings of work. Jim Henderson was dominant in a scoreless seventh, but Addison Reed gave up one run in the eighth, and Logan Verrett gave up a run in the ninth. It certainly didn't help that the Mets had just four hits on the day, two apiece from David Wright and Yoenis Cespedes. Those two scored when Cespedes hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth.
