The Mets did it again, as they beat the Reds on Tuesday night. Trailing 3-0 in the seventh inning, Yoenis Cespedes came off the bench and hit a game-tying three-run home run on the first pitch he saw. Bartolo Colon also reached a milestone in the game, pitching his 3,000th inning when he struck out Joey Votto in the first.
Early on, it was all Reds, as Billy Hamilton made a diving catch to rob Kevin Plawecki of an extra-base hit.
Yoenis Cespedes would change all that, however, tying the game up with his sixth home run of the season.
David Wright followed up with an RBI single later in the seventh to give the Mets the go-ahead run. You can view that hit here.
Jeurys Familia secured the save with a 1-2-3 inning in the ninth, and the Mets won the game 4-3.
After the game, Familia and Plawecki spoke with reporters about the comeback win.
Terry Collins discussed the game and his team's ability to come from behind for the win.
