Meet the Mets

Jacob deGrom pitched a gem of a game for the Mets last night, giving up only one run in seven innings despite not having his best stuff, and the Mets' bats did their part, scoring five runs in the first five innings. Then things got interesting.

Jeurys Familia gave up four runs to the Dodgers in the ninth, allowing them to tie the game. Things looked dark for the Mets before Curtis Granderson delivered a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to win the game for the Mets. A dramatic roller coaster of an evening that somehow ended with Familia picking up a dubiously deserved W.

The Mets take on the Dodgers again tonight at Citi Field at 7:10 PM.
