The Braves beat the Mets 3-0 at Citi Field tonight, as Matt Harvey wasn't very sharp and Braves starter Matt Wisler was. Harvey's velocity was quite a bit lower than it had been in his previous start, and his breaking balls didn't look very good. He gave up three runs in five-and-two-thirds innings, but here's hoping his lackluster outing can be chalked up to the fact that he wasn't feeling well last night.
At the plate, the Mets made plenty of hard contact, but almost all of it went right to Braves defenders. The Mets' offense had been on a tear and hadn't been shut out for nearly a month, but it didn't do much of anything tonight.
Full recap to follow.
