The Mets beat the White Sox 1-0 this afternoon thanks to excellent pitching and a solo home run from Neil Walker.
Matt Harvey had his best start of the year, as he struck out six, walked one, and allowed just two hits in seven scoreless innings of work. He needed only 87 pitches to do so. Addison Reed threw a perfect eighth inning with a pair of strikeouts, and Jeurys Familia threw a perfect ninth with a pair of strikeouts of his own.
