The greatest home run in baseball history happened in San Diego.

Bartolo Colon hit the first home run of his major league career, and it was everything we all dreamed it ever could be. And the Mets beat the Padres 6-3 in San Diego.

On top of the magnificent home run, Yoenis Cespedes, David Wright, and Michael Conforto went deep. As a pitcher, Colon gave up three runs in six-and-two-thirds innings. The Mets' bullpen didn't allow anything more after that.

But most importantly, Bartolo Colon hit a home run. In a major league game. And he became the oldest player in baseball history to hit his first home run.

Love the Mets.
