Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (34-32)__________________________________

LAS VEGAS 9, RENO 1 (Box)

The 51s throttled Reno starter Kyle Drabek for nine runs on ten hits in four innings, while Logan Verrett threw six scoreless innings to earn the win despite issuing five walks. Every Vegas starter except Verrett had at least one hit with Eric Campbell, Travis Taijeron, and Gavin Cecchini leading the way with two each.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (28-36)_____________________________

BINGHAMTON 3, RICHMOND 1 (Box)

Another win, another Met farmhand throwing shutout baseball. In this case it was Rainy Lara, as the B-Met starter stifled the Flying Squirrel offense for seven innings and avoided a sweep in the process. Dominic Smith was the offensive catalyst for our Eastern League heroes, lacing a two-run double in the fourth inning and an RBI single in the sixth.
Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (33-31)_____________________________

GAME CANCELLED (RAIN)

As the weather is wont to do in Florida, rain caused St. Lucie's opening game of the series against the Jupiter Hammerheads to be cancelled after just three innings of play with the score tied at zero. . .

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (35-32)______________________________

COLUMBIA 10, ASHEVILLE 6 (Box)

Despite four errors, the Fireflies upended the Tourists last night at McCormick Field. The Colaflies pounded 16 hits, including six of the extra base variety,.and Luis Ortega's double in the sixth inning broke a 6-6 tie and gave the Fireflies a lead that would be relinquished. P.J. Conlon had a trying outing, allowing six runs in 4.2 innings, but the bullpen pitched the final 13 outs without allowing a run.
