The Mets took an 8-0 lead over the Braves tonight at Turner Field and held on for an 8-6 win in the end. After the team took that big lead, Steven Matz allowed six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
While Matz probably should have come out of the game sooner, once Terry Collins went to the bullpen, Hansel Robles was fantastic once again. He threw two-and-two-thirds perfect innings to calm the game down. More craziness ensued in the ninth inning, too, but it all ended well with Jeurys Familia on the mound.
