Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (41-36)_______________________________________

SACRAMENTO 6, LAS VEGAS 0 (Box)

The 51s were on the wrong end of a rare PCL shutout, falling 6-0 to Sacramento. River Cats starter Ty Blach tossed a complete game with six strikeouts, holding the 51s to only six hits. Michael Conforto went 1-for-4, while Dilson Herrera went hitless in four at bats. Gavin Cecchini was 2-for-4 but committed two more erros at shortstop, his 23rd and 24th on the season, both on throws.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (32-42)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 3, ALTOONA 2 (Box)

Amed Rosario's two run triple in the eighth overcame a one run deficit, and Binghamton would hold that lead to win 3-2. Starter Rainy Lara lasted only four-and-two-thirds innings, giving up one run and striking out four. Dominic Smith went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (37-35)_____________________________________

ST. LUCIE 17, JUPITER 0 (Box)

St. Lucie won a real laugher, blowing out the Jupiter Hammerheads 17-0. Ricky Knapp pitched seven scoreless innings and Mike Hepple and Jimmy Duff finished off the shutout with a scoreless inning a piece. Five Mets had three hits: Champ Stuart, Kevin Taylor, Wuilmer Becerra, Luis Guillorme, and Jhoan Urena. Becerra's performance was particularly encouraging, as he launched a double and a home run, demonstrating some of the power he's been missing this season. And somehow, nestled in this 17 run outburst, first baseman Michael Katz went 0-for-6 with six strikeouts. Double platinum sombrero?

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (36-38)__________________________________

SUSPENDED (RAIN)

The Fireflies managed to tie the game at one in the fifth inning, right before the game would have become an official lost. Instead, the 1-1 tie with Hickory will be completed today.

SS-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (5-6)_______________________________________

BROOKLYN 6, HUDSON VALLEY 5 (Box)

Brooklyn score one in the eighth and three in the ninth to force yet another extra inning game. This one only went ten, however, as the Cyclones would walk off on a single from Darryl Knight that scored Gene Cone. Jose Reyes started at third and went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout, as well as an error on a dropped pop up. Third round pick Blake Tiberi DHed and went 0-for-5 with a couple of strikeouts, while Colby Woodmansee followed up his four hit performance yesterday with an 0-for-5 of his own.
