2016 MLB Draft: Time, TV schedule, and format

The Mets' first pick is the 19th pick overall.

The 2016 MLB Draft starts tonight at 7:00 PM EDT with the first and second rounds, which will air on MLB Network. Coverage will be simulcast on MLB.com, while subsequent rounds on Friday and Saturday will be exclusively streamed on MLB.com. There are 40 rounds of the draft in all.

The Mets are scheduled to pick 19th, 31st, and 64th overall tonight. For a summary of the rules and format of the draft, check out Steve Sypa's introduction to it. Steve has also profiled a bunch of players the Mets might be able to draft with their first pick.
