Last week, we asked you to name every Met who hit at least seven triples in a season. For this week's Mind Boggler, we'd like you to name the Mets' single-season doubles leaders—specifically, every Met to hit at least 35 two-baggers in a season.
Mets with at least 35 doubles in a season.
This year, the Mets rank 29th out of 30 MLB teams with 119 doubles. In fact, the Mets also rank second-to-last in singles with 388 and fourth-to-last in triples with nine. The team has gotten most of its offensive production through home runs and walks, in which it ranks 11th with 104 and 14th with 250, respectively. Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera leads all Mets hitters with 16 doubles in 2016, and is on pace for 32 by season's end.
You'll have four minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
