Monday Morning Mets Mind Boggler: Most saves in a season

Can you name every Met with at least 20 saves in a season?

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Last week, Jeurys Familia blew his first save in 53 regular season appearances. Familia's 52 consecutive saves were the third-most in history, fewer only than Eric Gagne's 84 and Tom Gordon's 54. For this week's Mind Boggler, we're asking you to name every pitcher in Mets history with at least 20 saves in a season.

Familia has been one of the Mets' best relievers this year. In his first All-Star campaign, the Mets' closer has saved 37 games in 39 opportunities, while sporting a 3.08 ERA (80 ERA-) and a 2.47 FIP (61 FIP-). In 49.2 innings of work, Familia has 9.24 K/9 and 3.99 BB/9, and has yet to surrender a home run. After a rough week, Familia looks to bounce back to anchor the Mets' pen as the season enters its final stretch.
