Triple-A: Las Vegas 51s (65-71)

LAS VEGAS 6, EL PASO 3 (BOX)

Brandon Nimmo led off the game with a home run, and the 51s scored four runs in the fourth to top El Paso 6-3. Lefty Darin Gorski allowed three runs over six innings, striking out three, and Chasen Bradford and Paul Sewald closed out the game with three scoreless innings. Michael Conforto notched a hit and an RBI in five at-bats.

Double-A: Binghamton Mets (61-72)

ALTOONA 13, BINGHAMTON 1 (BOX)

Binghamton was thoroughly smashed in a 13-1 blowout loss. Dominic Smith went 1-for-3, one of only four hits the B-Mets mustered on the evening. Rainy Lara allowed seven runs (six earned) in two innings of work, victimized by his own bad defense. Kevin McGowan and Kyle Regnault also had awful nights in the bullpen, putting the game even further out of reach.

Advanced-A: St. Lucie Mets (35-32 / 35-28)

ST. LUCIE 3, CHARLOTTE 0 (BOX)

Andrew Barbosa carried a no hitter through seven innings as St. Lucie topped Charlotte 3-0. Barbosa struck out eleven and walked one, earning his first win at the level. Alex Palsha relieved Barbosa for the eighth, but surrendered a hit with two outs to end the no-hit bid. The offense wasn’t great, but Jhoan Urena and Patrick Biondi drove in runs and the pitching did the rest.

Low-A: Columbia Fireflies (36-34 / 27-36)

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

SS-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (34-35)

AUBURN 4, BROOKLYN 3 (BOX)

Solo home runs from Michael Paez and Blake Tiberi weren’t enough to overcome a rough start from Raul Jacobson as Brooklyn lost 4 to 3. Paez added a single and a walk to go with his home run, while Tiberi added a walk. Luis Carpio was the DH and struck out twice in three at bats.

Rookie: Kingsport Mets (24-40)

KINGSPORT 4, DANVILLE 0 (BOX)

Jordan Humphreys and Blake Taylor combined to shut out Danville in a 4-0 win. Humphreys started and went seven innings, striking out seven and allowing four htis. Taylor finished the last two innings with four strikeouts. Ricardo Cespedes led the offense with a 4-for-4 night, including a triple.

Rookie - GCL Mets (25-28)

GAME 1: GCL CARDINALS 8, GCL METS 3 / 7 (BOX)

In a makeup of a rained out game on 8/24, the GCL Cardinals beat up on the GCL Mets 8-3. Carlos Hernandez, Matt Cleveland, and Luis Carreno all struggled on the mound, while the offense was quiet outside of a two-hit game from Oliver Pascual.

GAME 2: GCL METS 2, GCL CARDINALS 1 / 7 (BOX)

The GCL Mets fared better in game 2, holding the Cardinals to one run in a 2-1 victory. Jose Geraldo pitched an abbreviated complete game, striking out six over seven innings, while DH Carlos Sanchez led the offense with three hits, a double, and an RBI.
