With two outs in the bottom of the tenth last night, Yoenis Cespedes added another page to his Mets résumé with a walk-off home run to carry the Mets to a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins.
At the expense of any productivity we’ll be watching this highlight for the rest of the day today and probably also forever. Listen to three great calls from the Mets’ TV, radio, and Spanish radio broadcasts as Cespedes sends the Marlins sulking off the field and the Citi Field faithful home with smiles on their faces.
The Mets had fallen behind 1-0 in the top of the eighth after the Marlins strung together a pair of two-out doubles against Addison Reed. The Mets tied it in the bottom of the frame when Jose Reyes scored on a wild pitch with—who else—Cespedes at the plate.
