.471. That is the Atlanta Braves' winning percentage against the New York Mets this season.

.383. That is the Braves' winning percentage against everyone else.

Time after time in 2016, a Mets club eyeing a sweep of the National League's objectively worst team has come up bitterly disappointed. This was the story last night when Aaron Blair (0-6 coming into the game) handily out-pitched Noah Syndergaard to secure a 7-3 victory for Braves and put a stop to some well-maintained Mets momentum.

Robert Gsellman has the starting job tonight, opposite Julio Teheran. Gsellman (2-1 , 3.08 ERA) has played a key role lifting the Mets to their current status: ten games above .500 and a game ahead of both the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants for the first NL wild card position.
