Meet the Mets

The Daily News unveiled its list of the ten most intriguing Mets (and Yankees) headed into the new season. Take a wild guess who topped the list.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post says there’s a wide range of possible outcomes for the Mets.

One of those unpredictable pieces is Zack Wheeler, and there’s really no way of telling which way his season will go.

Around the NL East

Federal Baseball talked about the Nationals’ plans for Stephen Strasburg in 2017.

Former Philly Shane Victorino is reportedly mulling a contract offer.

Fish Stripes continues its top 100 Marlins series, with Bryan Harvey (no relation to Matt) clocking in at 48th.

Around the Majors

Based off his last season, it may be a little surprising Mark Trumbo is still on the market. And reportedly he’s beginning to budge from his initial demands.

Thought that once Edwin Encarnacion moved to Cleveland his tandem with Jose Bautista was over? Not so fast.

Canada is putting together its roster for the World Baseball Classic, and it’s just downright strange.

MLB and USA Baseball announced an initiative they say will change the landscape of amateur baseball.

This Date in Mets History

Today is Tom Robson’s birthday. If you have no idea who that is, don’t worry, I’m going to tell you right now. He was the hitting coach for the Mets in the late 90s, and helped expand the offensive games of players like John Olerud, Edgardo Alfonzo, and Benny Agbayani. So thanks a lot, Tom, and happy birthday!
