One of the most exciting plays in baseball is the inside-the-park home run. More often than not, it’s the result of a fluky misplay by an outfielder or a weird hop the ball takes off the wall, allowing the batter to run around the bases as the ball rolls around the field. In short, inside-the-park home runs are fun! For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’re asking you to name every player in Mets history to hit one.
Every Met to hit an inside-the-park home run.
There were nine inside-the-park home runs hit in Major League Baseball in 2016, which you can watch here. Although none were Mets, the players who hit those homers were Byron Buxton, Stephen Drew, Brett Lawrie, Tyler Naquin, Eduardo Nunez, Anthony Rizzo, Jean Segura, Dansby Swanson, and Ryan Zimmerman.
You’ll have six minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
