Brandon Nimmo had an impressive rookie year for the Mets in 2017. In 69 games, the outfielder hit .260/.379/.418 with a 117 wRC+ and 1.1 fWAR over 215 plate appearances.
Nimmo always had a reputation for knowing the strike zone, and he’s demonstrated that plate discipline at the major league level. Of the 349 major leaguers with at least 200 plate appearances this year, Nimmo was in the top 35 with a .379 on-base percentage.
