Monday Morning Mets Mind Boggler: Strikeouts against the Mets

Can you name every pitcher with at least 200 career strikeouts against the Mets?

Philadelphia Phillies v New York Mets

Last week, we asked you to name every player with at least 200 career hits against the Mets. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’re asking you to do the same, only this time with strikeouts instead of hits.

Every pitcher with at least 200 career strikeouts against the Mets

Strikeouts, like hits, is a counting stat, and that’s important for two reasons: First, it means that the players listed here faced the Mets a number of times over their fifty-plus-year history—and, specifically, played for teams that faced the Mets a lot. Therefore, it’ll help to focus on players who played for those teams.

Second, the only way a pitcher could rack up 200 strikeouts against any one team would be if that pitcher were good enough to stay in the league for a pretty long time. All but two of the pitchers listed here are Hall of Famers, which should also help narrow your focus.

You’ll have four minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
