Citi Field may now be blanketed with several inches of snow, but it’s 70 degrees and sunny in Port St. Lucie and Mets pitchers and catchers are just three days away from reporting for spring training. That means there are just fifteen days until baseball returns to SNY, as the network announced its full schedule for spring training broadcasts.

New York opens at home against the Washington Nationals, which could spell trouble for Mets fans hoping an early victory will wash away the acrid taste of Connor Gillespie. Washington finished last spring training in first place in the Grapefruit League at 19-4, while the Mets limped to an 8-17 finish. That said, spring training records are somewhat random; In 2015, the Mets were 19-12 while the Nationals went 11-16.
After that it’s almost a full slate of contenders, with the Tigers, Astros, Red Sox and Cardinals. And while most of the home games are on SNY, a handful will be on WPIX.
