In the last five Mind Bogglers, we’ve asked you to name various members of the Mets’ front office and coaching staff. Those include the team’s general managers, managers, pitching coaches, hitting coaches, and first base coaches. For the sixth and final installment of this series, we’d like you to name every third base coach in Mets history.
The Mets have a new third base coach, Glenn Sherlock, whom they hired during the current offseason. Prior to joining the Mets, Sherlock was with the Diamondbacks in various roles since 1998. Those jobs included bullpen coach, first base coach, third base coach, and, most recently, bench coach. A former minor league catcher, Sherlock also served as the Diamondbacks’ catching coach, a role that he will assume with the Mets in order to facilitate Travis d’Arnaud’s progression as a big league player.
You’ll have six minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
