New York Mets ace Noah Syndergaard is going to have a role as an extra in season seven of HBO’s popular TV series “Game of Thrones.”
Syndergaard has always been a big fan of the show, even using its theme song as his walk-up music this year as well as memes from the show to make light of Mets injuries. Last May, when Mike Puma of the New York Post wrote about Syndergaard and Michael Conforto being roommates in a Manhattan apartment, Conforto said that the two of them frequently watch the show together.
Syndergaard, who has a very impressive baseball résumé, will now be able to add to his acting experience after having a cameo in CBS’s “Kevin Can Wait” this past October.
Standing 6-feet-6-inches tall and having gained 17 pounds of muscle this offseason, Syndergaard surely has the looks to play a brute-fighter in the show. Mets fans just need to hope that if that’s the case, he uses a stunt double.
