Today, we’re asking AA readers to make a seventh and final prediction going into the 2017 season. The first six questions focused on Mets players: Specifically, we asked who you thought will be the Mets’ best hitter, pitcher, defender, rookie, position player, and overall player this year. In our last poll, we want to know how many games you think the Mets will win in 2017.
After six consecutive sub-.500 seasons, the Mets went 90-72 in 2015, winning both the National League East and the NL pennant. They followed that up with an 87-75 record and a Wild Card berth last year. Although the roster is largely similar to the one they carried in 2016, the Mets hope to avoid the rash of injuries that decimated that roster down the stretch. If they succeed in doing that, the Mets hope to compete with the Nationals for the NL East crown and make another deep run in the postseason.
So how many games do you think the Mets will win in 2017? Vote now, and stay tuned for updates throughout the season to see how your predictions play out!
