Believe it or not, the Mets currently have a franchise leader in an offensive category who is not named David Wright or Jose Reyes. As we will discuss more in a forthcoming piece, Lucas Duda is the Mets’ all-time leader in hit-by-pitches.
Not only are Duda’s 46 HBP more than any other Mets player’s total, but Duda’s single-season mark of 14 HBP in 2015 is also a franchise high. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’re asking you to name every hitter in Mets history with at least 10 HBP in a single season.
Mets hitters with at least 10 hit-by-pitches in a season
Duda led the Mets in HBP every year from 2013 to 2015. When Duda missed most of the 2016 season to injury, however, Curtis Granderson led the team by getting plunked nine times.
You’ll have four minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
