Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (15-22)

OMAHA 8, LAS VEGAS 4 (Box)

Ricky Knapp takes the bump

We hope rough patch is behind

Allows fourteen hits

Every Storm Chaser had at least one hit against Vegas pitching yesterday in sweeping through their four games at Cashman Field. The Cecchini brothers at least made their mother proud, as Omaha’s Garin and Vegas’s Gavin each collected three hits. Ricky Knapp could not be so boastful, allowing six runs on fourteen hits in just 4.2 innings. Amed Rosario makes us all beam with pride, as he had three more hits to raise his season average to .359, good for 6th in the Pacific Coast League.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (18-13)

POSTPONED (RAIN)

May showers have forced four days of Pony baseball to be either suspended or postponed. The games against the Rubber Ducks will be made up when Bingo hosts a rare five series over three days July 17th to the 19th.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (16-21)

NO GAME (SCHEDULED DAY OFF)

The St. Lucie Mets return to action Monday night as they head northwest to begin a four-game series against the Lakeland Flying Tigers.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (18-16)

COLUMBIA 5, LAKEWOOD 3 (Box)

Blake Taylor was good

But couldn’t get the victory

Three dingers seal it

The Colaflies, sparked by three home runs and six solid innings from Blake Taylor, downed the Lakewood BlueClaws yesterday. Tied at three in the eighth inning, Michael Paez and Dash Winningham hit back-to-back two-out home runs to give Columbia a lead they would not relinquish as Jake Simon threw the final three innings scoreless to take the victory.
