Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (19-25)

LAS VEGAS 7, NEW ORLEANS 3 (Box)

The 51s took their third straight against the Baby Cakes yesterday behind six strong innings from Tyler Pill and eight doubles from the offense, with a rehabbing Travis d’Arnaud and Amed Rosario smacking two apiece. After New Orleans starter Scott Copeland threw two perfect innings to start the game, the Vegas offense pounced in the third inning, scoring four runs with two outs to take a 4-0 lead. Three more runs in the fourth and the 51s had a 7-1 lead they would not relinquish.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (22-15)

BINGHAMTON 6, BOWIE 2 (Box)

The Rumble Ponies hit the ball all over the yard at Prince George’s Stadium yesterday, smacking 12 hits in a 6-2 win over the BaySox. Tim Heiman notes that in addition to reaching double-digit hits for the fourth consecutive game, this was was also Bingo’s seventh consecutive in a rubber game. Cody Decker, Luis Guillorme, Kevin Kaczmarski, and Jio Mier each had multi-hit games, with Decker’s eighth inning two-run home run doubling the Bingo to lead to the eventual final score of 6-2. After losing his first four games of the season with an ERA or 9.15, Casey Delgado has allowed two earned runs of less in each of his last four starts, going 3-0 in that span.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (20-24)

ST. LUCIE 10, DUNEDIN 4 (Box)

The Mets only had eight hits yesterday, but they certainly made them count as five of them went for extra bases, including Arnaldo Berrios’ tiebreaking 2-run home run in the sixth to give St. Lucie a 6-4 lead. Andrew Church wasn’t spectacular but still threw 6.2 innings to get the victory yesterday, his fourth on the season. Patrick Mazeika continues to feast on FSL pitching, hitting an eighth inning grand slam to give St. Lucie all the insurance runs they would need and then some.
