Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (19-29)

ROUND ROCK 6, LAS VEGAS 4 (Box)

Jason Martinson’s two-run home run in the bottom the eighth against Vegas reliever Ben Rowen broke a 4-4 tie and sent the 51s to their fourth straight loss, dropping a 6-4 decision to the Express last night. Sean Gilmartin was mediocre in his 4.1 innings of work, allowing four runs on six hits as his season-long woes continue, with opponents hitting .345 against him. Brandon Nimmo, hitting .270 in his last 10 games after an awful start to his season, tied the game at four in the sixth with a double that plated Gavin Cecchini and Victor Cruzado. Amed Rosario continues his hitting streak, now at 12 games, and has at least one hit in 39 of his 46 PCL games this year.

ROSTER ALERT: Las Vegas 51s activated RHP Beck Wheeler from the 7-day disabled list.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets optioned C Kevin Plawecki to Las Vegas 51s.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (26-15)

BINGHAMTON 6, RICHMOND 3 (Box)

The Rumble Ponies saddled up yesterday to a 6-3 victory, their fifth straight and eighth in their last 10 games. Patience at the plate has been key for the Ponies all season long as they are tied for the Eastern League lead with 160 walks, including six more bases on balls last night. Tied at two going into the fifth inning, Bingo broke the game open scoring two runs in each of the next two innings. Corey Oswalt took the victory, allowing three runs on nine hits in 6.2 innings.

ROSTER ALERT: SS Gustavo Nunez assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Brooklyn Cyclones.

ROSTER ALERT: Binghamton Rumble Ponies placed SS Jio Mier on the 7-day disabled list.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (23-25)

ST. LUCIE 1, BRADENTON 0 (Box)

Nabil Crismatt was stellar last night, allowing four hits in eight innings of work while also striking out nine in the Mets’ 1-0 win over the Marauders. The sole run of the game came on a J.C. Rodriguez double in the fourth that plated Wuilmer Becerra. Austin McGeorge had an exceptionally shaky ninth inning, but ultimately left it unscathed in earning his first save of the season.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (23-21)

COLUMBIA 3, LEXINGTON 2 (Box)

The Colaflies got three runs in their top half of the first inning, and those runs would prove to be all they needed in downing the Legends 3-2 last night. Dash Winningham and Jay Jabs each had an RBI double, and Merdandy Gonzalez and Co. made it last. Gonzalez threw six innings of two-run baseball and striking out seven before ceding to the tandem of Adonis Uceta and Max Kuhns, who combined to throw three scoreless innings to quell any Lexington thoughts of a comeback.
