Tyler Pill threw seven strong innings last night as the 51s offense gave him more than enough support in a 12-4 waxing of the River Cats at Cashman Field. In a game that was rarely close, six Vegas players had multi-hit games, including Pill. Travis Taijeron slugged his tenth home run of the season during a five-run seventh inning that doubled the Vegas lead from five runs to ten.

The Rumble Ponies wasted seven excellent innings from PJ Conlon last night, falling to the SeaWolves 2-1 in Erie last night. Binghamton did have the tying run on third base and the go-ahead run on second in the top of the ninth after a two-out double steal, but pinch-hitter David Thompson popped out to the catcher to end it. Bingo went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position on the night.

Harol Gonzalez threw 7.2 innings and despite allowing 11 hits, was able to get the victory against the Drive as the beneficiary of Greenville going 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position. Every Colafly had a hit last night, highlighted by Michael Paez’s two home runs. The 2016 fourth-rounder now has eight big flies on the season, and leads all Columbia regulars with an .886 OPS on the season. Dash Winningham and Jay Jabs also had two hit games as well.
