Monday Morning Mets Mind Boggler: Position player draft picks

Last week, we asked you to name every long-tenured major league pitcher that the Mets drafted and signed. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’d like you to do the same for position players.

Position players with at least 1,000 major league games whom the Mets drafted and signed

To qualify for this list, the player needed to accumulate at least 1,000 games in the major leagues. Keep in mind that those 1,000 games did not all have to come with the Mets, but with any combination of major league teams. The list does not include players whom the Mets drafted, but whom they did not actually sign.

Of the 40 players the Mets selected in this year’s draft, just 13 are position players. The question now is how many of those players will be able to reach a contract agreement with the team in the coming weeks.
