Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (29-47)

SALT LAKE 4, LAS VEGAS 3 (BOX)

Making his debut for the 51s, Mitch Atkins was mediocre and took the loss, as Salt Lake defeated Las Vegas 4-3. Atkins pitched 5.1 innings, giving up four runs—three earned—while striking out three. Errors from Phillip Evans and Jio Mier undermined his performance. Victor Cruzado led the offense with a two-run home run.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (39-31)

NEW HAMPSHIRE 5, BINGHAMTON 3 (BOX)

Knuckleballer Mickey Jannis was knocked around in a 5-3 loss for the Rumble Ponies. Jannis walked five and allowed five runs in five innings, and the Binghamton offense couldn’t make up the deficit. Luis Guillorme went 2-for-5 with a steal and a stellar play in the field, while Tomas Nido also had a multiple-hit game.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (1-3/33-35)

CHARLOTTE 13, St. LUCIE 10 (BOX)

St. Lucie lost a slugfest with Charlotte, falling 13-10. Andrew Church was shellacked in his 3+ innings of work, giving up three runs in the third and five runs in the fourth without recording an out. Surprisingly, John Mora was the only Met with multiple hits, going 4-for-5 with four RBIs and falling a homer short of the cycle

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (1-2/40-28)

KANNAPOLIS 2, COLUMBIA 1 (BOX)

Thomas Szapucki was brilliant, but the Fireflies offense was sleepy in a 2-1 loss. Szapucki tossed six scoreless innings, walking two and striking out ten in his first double-digit strikeout game of the season. Dash Winningham had the lone RBI for Columbia with a first-inning single to drive in Andres Gimenez.

Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (2-4)

HUDSON VALLEY 5, BROOKLYN 3 (BOX)

The Cyclones’ team of pretty boring dudes lost 5-3 to Hudson Valley in their sixth game of the season. Jake Simon tossed 5.1 innings and gave up three runs, and the Cylcones were never able to tie the game after two runs scored for the Renegades in the fifth. Leon Byrd led the offense with a 2-for-4 performance.

Triple-A - Kingsport Mets (3-0)
