Bingo pounced on Hartford starter Konner Wade early, scoring five runs in the third inning to take a 5-0 lead. The Mets continue their late June swoon, dropping an 11-inning affair to the Palm Beach Cardinals last night 4-3. Joe Shaw was superb in his seven innings of work, allowing three runs on five hits while also striking out five. The Mets took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth after Nick Sergakis’ RBI double brought home two, but the Cardinals got to Shaw in their half of the sixth to tie the game at three. Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (2-7)

ABERDEEN 9, BROOKLYN 3 (Box)

The ugly start to the 2017 season for Brooklyn continued last night with a rather ugly game, losing 9-3 to the IronBirds. After taking a 1-0 lead on a second inning Jeremy Wolf single, Brooklyn wouldn’t score another run until the ninth at which the game’s outcome was very much decided. Darwin Ramos’ season-long struggles persist, allowing four runs in four innings despite striking out seven.

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (3-4)

ELIZABETHTON 8, KINGSPORT 7/ 11 INNINGS (Box)
