Leading up to this year’s July 31 trade deadline, we’re asking you to name the Mets’ major trade acquisitions of each decade. So far, we’ve covered the decades of the 1960s and the 1970s. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’d like you to name every long-tenured player the Mets traded for in the 1980s.

Players that the Mets traded for in the 1980s (min. 1,000 PA for position players, 250 IP for pitchers)

Players needed at least 1,000 plate appearances or 250 innings pitched as a Met to qualify for this list. Keep in mind that, if the player had more than one stint with the team (as is the case with a couple players listed here), those 1,000 plate appearances or 250 innings could have occurred over his entire Mets career—not just after one specific trade.

You’ll have five minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
