Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (35-55)

LAS VEGAS 13, ALBUQUERQUE 11 (Box)

The 51s smashed 20 hits en route to a wild 13-11 win over the Isotopes yesterday. Ricky Knapp wasn’t particularly good, allowing six runs on 11 hits in 5.2 innings, but that line was more than good enough to take home the victory on Sunday.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (46-38)

HARTFORD 7, BINGHAMTON 3 (Box)

Marcos Molina’s struggles at Double-A continue, as the 22-year old is now 0-5 with a 4.94 ERA in 5 Binghamton starts. The Rumble Ponies also went 3-for-19 with runners in scoring position, compounding an all-around frustrating day in Bingo yesterday.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (5-12/38-47)

JUPITER 2, ST. LUCIE 1 (Box)

Nabil Crismatt was superb yesterday, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out nine in 6.1 innings. The Mets’ offense was anything but superb though, collecting just three hits in a meek 2-1 loss to the Hammerheads.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (6-11/46-39)

CHARLESTON 3, COLUMBIA 2 (Box)

Despite stealing six bases against the RiverDogs yesterday, the Colaflies just could not get a hit when they needed it most. The end of this game was aggravating as Desmond Lindsay led off the ninth with a single before being picked off two batters later to all but sink any chances of a Firefly comeback.

ROSTER ALERT: Columbia Fireflies placed LHP Thomas Szapucki on the 7-day disabled list.

ROSTER ALERT: Columbia Fireflies activated RHP Gary Cornish from the 7-day disabled list.

Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (6-14)

BROOKLYN 6, STATEN ISLAND 4 (Box)

Well, take solace in the fact that one Mets affiliate defeated a Yankee affiliate yesterday. The Cyclones took a 4-0 lead with a 4-run third inning before the Yankees tied the game with two runs in the fourth and fifth innings. However, in the bottom of the fifth, Quinn Brodey drove home Leon Byrd and Matt Winaker in what proved to ultimately be the game-winning hits. The Brooklyn bullpen was stellar yesterday, allowing just two unearned runs on three hits over the final 17 outs.

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (5-10)

KINGSPORT 11, GREENEVILLE 2 (Box)

After an abject horror show of pitching on Saturday, the K-Mets closed this series in style. Trailing 2-1 heading into the bottom of the third, Kingsport just poured it on over the next four innings, scoring 10 runs en route to becoming a laugher. Edgardo Fermin and Juan Uriarte each had three hits in the victory.

Rookie - GCL Mets (5-7)

GCL METS 10, GCL CARDINALS 3 (Box)

Needless to say, it was a very good day for Mets’ rookies affiliates against the Astros.
